These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ClinEcho, a curated medical article briefing app provided by NeuroStudy. By using ClinEcho, you agree to these Terms.
1. Intended Users
ClinEcho is intended for licensed doctors and professional healthcare providers. It is not intended for patients, children, or general consumer medical decision-making.
2. Educational Use Only
ClinEcho provides professional educational and informational content. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment recommendations, emergency guidance, or patient-specific clinical decision support.
ClinEcho is not a substitute for the original medical articles, current clinical guidelines, professional training, institutional protocols, or your independent clinical judgment. You remain responsible for verifying information before relying on it in any professional context.
3. AI-Assisted Summaries and Audio
ClinEcho uses specialized AI tools to generate summaries and audio tracks from preselected medical articles. AI-assisted content may be incomplete, outdated, inaccurate, misleading, or may omit details that are clinically important. Always check the original source article and other appropriate references before applying any information in practice.
4. Source Materials and Licenses
ClinEcho presents summaries and audio based on preselected medical articles that are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). Source attribution and license information should be reviewed together with the original article where available.
The original authors and publishers are not responsible for ClinEcho summaries, audio tracks, editorial selections, or any modifications, interpretations, or errors introduced by ClinEcho.
5. Your Responsibilities
When using ClinEcho, you agree to:
- use the app only for lawful professional education and information purposes;
- verify summaries and audio content against original sources before professional reliance;
- avoid entering, uploading, or attempting to transmit patient data or confidential clinical information;
- comply with all professional, ethical, institutional, and legal duties that apply to your work.
6. Prohibited Use
You must not:
- use ClinEcho as the sole basis for diagnosis, treatment, prescribing, triage, or emergency decisions;
- misrepresent ClinEcho content as original source material or as a complete clinical guideline;
- copy, scrape, reverse engineer, disrupt, or misuse the app except where allowed by law;
- use ClinEcho to process patient-identifiable, confidential, unlawful, or harmful content.
7. Intellectual Property
ClinEcho, including its app design, software, summaries, audio tracks, branding, and editorial presentation, is owned by NeuroStudy or its licensors, except for third-party source materials that remain owned by their respective rights holders and are used under their applicable licenses. These Terms do not transfer ownership of ClinEcho or any third-party content to you.
8. Privacy
Our handling of information is described in the ClinEcho Privacy Policy. By using ClinEcho, you acknowledge that app activity may be processed as described there.
9. Availability and Changes
ClinEcho may be updated, changed, suspended, or discontinued at any time. Content availability, summaries, audio tracks, and app features may change without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that any particular article, summary, or feature will remain available.
10. Disclaimers
ClinEcho is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, professional suitability, and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, NeuroStudy will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or professional losses arising from your use of or reliance on ClinEcho. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of ClinEcho after the updated Terms become available means you accept the updated Terms.
